On March 13, 2019, the Browns secured Beckham’s services, acquiring him alongside Olivier Vernon. In return, the Giants received Jabrill Peppers, Kevin Zeitler, and the Browns’ first- and third-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 1-3 Giants embarked on a road trip to face the 2-1 Carolina Panthers. While Big Blue was in pursuit of a significant victory, the final result didn’t align with those aspirations. Nevertheless, Odell Beckham delivered an outstanding performance, contributing to what turned out to be a remarkable game.

Following his absence from two practices earlier in the week, prompted by social media posts from Beckham’s father expressing discontent over his utilization in the Brown’s offense, the team started on November 5, 2021, announcing their decision to release Beckham. Subsequently, he was waived on November 8.

Beckham asserts that any behavior perceived as a distraction by some was a result of his frustration with the constant loss. The Giants had consecutive 6-10 seasons in his first two years, an 11-5 season ending in a wild-card round loss in his third year, followed by 3-13 and 5-11 records in his fourth and fifth seasons, respectively, before being traded.

Almost five years since the surprising trade, Beckham still seems to harbor lingering feelings about how the end of his tenure with the NY Giants unfolded. He believes the trade to the Browns was an intentional move by the Giants to ‘sabotage’ him.

Impressive performances from rookie Zay Flowers and a quick adaptation by newcomer Nelson Agholor contributed to the dynamic atmosphere in the receiving corps.

As per Ravens Salary Cap, Beckham has recently revised his contract, potentially signaling the possibility of a return in 2024 and introducing some flexibility into the arrangement.

This adjustment grants Baltimore the flexibility to execute a post-June 1 release for Beckham if an extension isn’t reached at the commencement of the new league year.

During his stint with the Ravens, Beckham featured in 14 of the 17 regular-season games, amassing 35 receptions for 565 receiving yards and scoring three receiving touchdowns. Although Odell Beckham Jr. Giants hasn’t achieved a 1,000-yard season since 2019, he has seamlessly integrated with Baltimore’s skill players and fostered a close relationship with Zay Flowers.
